In January 2015, Sam was elected to the South Australian Parliament as the Member for Davenport. Since then, he has absolutely loved, and appreciated, the opportunity to serve the community. Sam was born in Mildura and raised in Adelaide. He graduated from Marryatville High School, and studied at the University of Adelaide,completing a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting).

Prior to entering Parliament,Sam worked for Pitcher Partners Chartered Accountants and the ANZ Banking Group. Sam held leadership roles in the Young Liberal Movement at both a State and Federal level, including serving as Young Liberal President. As a Member of Parliament, Sam has developed strong working relationships with residents and community groups in his electorate. He is an active member of many community organisations including, Lions, Blackwood Recreation Centre and Blackwood RSL.

Following the 2018 State Election, Sam became the Member for Waite and was appointed to the Aboriginal Lands Standing Committee of the South Australian Parliament. He is also the Chairman of the Economics &Finance; Committee of Parliament. Sam is committed to understanding the role government can play in reconciliation.

Sam believes that Reconciliation is about creating a unified Australia.Only through reconciliation can we, as a State, and a nation, understand where we have come from and our future together as a nation benefiting all communities and their heritage.
