Toni is a Central Arrernte Elder from Alice Springs and a Stolen Generations Survivor.

She holds a Bachelor of Aboriginal Primary Health, majoring in mental health, and has worked extensively within the field. She has been a member of the SA Mental Health Reference Group for five years and is currently a Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Project Officer within the Workforce Support Unit at Nunkuwarrin Yunti of South Australia Incorporated. Her day-to-day role involves assisting in sustaining and developing a culturally appropriate and effective SEWB workforce, consisting of link-up caseworkers, counsellors,mental health and substance abuse workers throughout the state. She has worked in this position since 2013.

Toni relishes community engagement opportunities. For several years she has been Project Coordinator for the Apology Day Community Event and recently the National Sorry Day event,which brings together an array of community and government service providers with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. She is also a Board Member of the Turkindi Indigenous Network Incorporated.
