Generation of Change

For the last four years, Reconciliation SA and ActNow Theatre have worked in partnership to deliver a schools' program that facilitates important conversations about racism and cultural safety to thousands of students and teachers across the state. In 2017, the Generation of Change of program was nominated for the Australian Human Rights Commission's "Racism. It Stops with me" Award.

In 2018, Generation of Change will continue this important work in school communities in metropolitan Adelaide, Mt Barker, Balaklava, Ceduna, Port Pirie and the Riverland.

Reconciliation is everyone’s business and therefore Generation of Change is targeted towards the non-Aboriginal community as much as it is for Aboriginal young people. Student leaders of all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to participate in the program and facilitate change in their schools and communities.

Generation of Change includes ActNow Theatre's interactive Forum Theatre performance "Responding to Racism", which focuses on addressing, preventing and building resilience against racism.
