Join us for Generation of Change

Don’t miss this unique and inspiring opportunity to be part of a conversation for teachers and parents to work towards reconciliation

For the last four years, Reconciliation SA and ActNow Theatre have delivered a Schools' Congress called ‘Generation of Change’, which has reached thousands of students and teachers across the state, facilitating important but difficult conversations about race. It’s vital that parents, teachers and community leaders join South Australia’s young people in this conversation, as reconciliation is everyone’s business.

Together, we are proud to present a special event of “Generation of Change” for parents, teachers, education workers and community leaders. This is an empowering event which;

  • explores what individuals can do on an interpersonal level to respond to racism;
  • presents resources that explore racism and the effect that it has on people;
  • discusses cultural safety and how we can support it in schools and the community;
  • provides an opportunity for parents and teachers to experience the schools program which will be delivered across the State in August and September 2017.

Generation of Change also includes ActNow Theatre's award winning interactive Forum Theatre performance Responding to Racism which focuses on addressing, preventing and building resilience against racism.  If you are interested in collective action to improve safety within the community, join us for this free event.

"...thought provoking...an effective platform for young people... extremely worthwhile."
