Remaining strong in our commitment to educating the public on racism and equipping people to prevent and respond to it, Reconciliation SA and ActNow Theatre will be delivering a community focused session of Generation of Change early next month.

This is an empowering opportunity for parents, teachers, education workers and community members to take part in a grassroots program which was recognised as a finalist in the Australian Human Rights Commission ‘2017 Racism. It Stops With Me’ Award for its work facilitating frank and honest conversations about race and the systemic discrimination experienced by too many Australians.
This event;

  • Explores what individuals can do on an interpersonal level to respond to racism.
  • Presents resources that explore racism and the effect that it has on people.
  • Discusses cultural safety and how it can be supported in schools and the community.
  • Provides broad knowledge to better implement the standards 1.4 and 2.4 of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. A Certificate will be provided to teachers attending this session.

Generation of Change
will be held at 6PM on Thursday 10th May at the Australian Education Union. This is a free event for all, but bookings are essential. Head to TryBooking to secure your spot today.
