For the last three years, Reconciliation SA and ActNow Theatre have delivered programs across the state, facilitating important but difficult conversations about race. The health sector has recognised these conversations as vital to its health delivery, community engagement and staff wellbeing.
Together, we are proud to present Healthy Generations of Change an empowering event for everyone working in the health sector which
- explores what individuals can do on an interpersonal level to respond to racism;
- presents resources that explore racism and the effect that it has on people;
- discusses cultural safety and we we can support cultural safety in the workplace.
Healthy Generations of Change also includes ActNow Theatre's interactive Forum Theatre performance Responding to Racism which focuses on addressing, preventing and building resilience against racism. ActNow’s work has toured across six of the state’s regional hospitals and is a finalist in the 2016 SA Health Awards.
"Highly interactive and inspiring training, unique to SA. ActNow has the necessary skills to animate consumer’s stories with respect and support the capacity development of the health industry."
