Reconciliation at the Art Gallery

To celebrate National Reconciliation Week 2010 the Art Gallery of South Australia will present a lunchtime talk at 12:45pm on Tuesday 1 June in the Santos Atrium. Assistant Curator of Australian Paintings, Sculpture and Indigenous Art, Nici Cumpston a descendant of the Barkindji people from the Darling River will speak about Untitled by Nyurapayia Nampitjinpa. Generously donated by Susan Armitage through the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program, this is a dynamic painting, which adds strength to the collection of works by the Pintupi women artists of the Western Desert.
