Reconciliation Week 2010 Program

The following film screenings are proudly presented by the State Library of South Australia.

Event Details

Film screening: Journey 2 (35 mins)

Members of the Nunkuwarrin Yunti Women's Healing Group use the method of digital storytelling to recall their life journeys through the extraordinary challenges of domestic violence, removal, drug addiction, mental illness, loss of children, home, culture and community. Through the healing love of their families and reconnection with culture, each woman's story is a testament to living life with pride and purpose.

Film screening: Whaledreamers  PG (85 mins)

An award winning film exploring the spiritual connection both ancient and modern between humanity and whales. Whaledreamers unites four people from very different cultures. Mirning Song Man Bunna Lawrie, British filmmaker Kim Kindersley, musician and activist Julian Lennon and acclaimed Australian actor and storyteller Jack Thompson.
